Cancellation and Refund Policy

At Andean Expedition Travel, we accept cancellations without penalty with a minimum of 48 hours' notice before the tour begins.

If the cancellation is made outside of this timeframe, a no-show fee equivalent to 30% of the total tour cost will be applied.

Due to external regulations, the Machu Picchu tour has special policies:

Train Tickets:

Railway companies do not accept cancellations or refunds unless the passenger submits a request in person at the company's official offices.

Tickets are issued with the passenger's personal information and are therefore non-transferable.

Consettur Bus Tickets (Aguas Calientes):

No refunds or exchanges are available once issued.

Entrance Tickets to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu (Ministry of Culture): No changes, rescheduling, or refunds are accepted.

If the passenger does not arrive on the indicated date and time, the right of entry is forfeited without refund.

For these reasons, reservations for the Machu Picchu tour are non-refundable.

All reservations must be made with the passenger's complete information.

Tours are subject to weather and operational conditions.

The agency may reschedule the tour due to unforeseen circumstances (weather, road closures, strikes), always prioritizing passenger safety.

The passenger must present a valid ID on the day of the tour.

The established schedules must be respected to ensure the proper operation of the itinerary.

Participation is not permitted for passengers under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Passengers must inform the agency in advance of any relevant medical conditions to assess their fitness for the tour.

For hiking tours (Humantay Lagoon, Rainbow Mountain, etc.), adequate physical fitness is required.

1. General Inclusions

Tours include tourist transportation, a professional bilingual guide, ongoing assistance, and pre-tour orientation.

2. Exclusions

Tours do NOT include entrance fees to tourist attractions, except for the Machu Picchu tour.

Excluded entrance fees include:

Cusco Tourist Ticket (BTC)

Maras Salt Mines Entrance Fee

Andahuaylillas Chapel Entrance Fee

Qoricancha Entrance Fee

Rainbow Mountain Entrance Fee

Humantay Lagoon Entrance Fee

Tickets or additional fees not mentioned in the itinerary

3. Responsibilities

We are not responsible for loss of personal belongings, delays, or changes caused by third parties or external factors.
